Major Lag Fixes Coming Soon to 2b2t.es – Folia Update Incoming

If you’ve been playing on 2b2t.es lately, you’ve probably noticed some frustrating lag spikes—especially during peak hours. Whether it’s blocks not breaking properly, players rubberbanding, or mobs freezing mid-air, it’s been affecting everyone’s gameplay experience. 💡 The Solution: Folia Server Software

We're excited to announce that 2b2t.es will be switching over to the Folia server software very soon. For those unfamiliar, Folia is a high-performance fork of Paper designed for extreme concurrency and better multi-threading. This means massive improvements to TPS, mob behavior, redstone, and overall server responsiveness—especially in high-activity zones like spawn.

Unlike traditional Minecraft server software that runs everything on a single main thread, Folia handles regions independently, reducing the bottleneck that causes most of the lag we’ve all been dealing with. In short: more players, more action, less lag.
